What do you do with left over supplies? Make a totally different card, of course! Those of you who were at the January stamp clubs might recognize several of the components. I changed the base from Real Red to Barely Banana.  Just goes to show you that when you cut supplies for your own projects, you should cut a bit extra for another card or two.

I love this new stamp set, With All My Heart, which is in the Occasions Mini Catalog. And, it has a coordinating Extra Large Fancy Flower punch that coordinates with it.Too bad there wasn't a bigger flower punch too for my black flower layer.  How the heck did I graduate from kindergarten with my terrible scissor skills? At least I never wanted to become a surgeon LOL.

I've been in a bit of a creative abyss lately, but discovering the fun of card making with stencils is helping to jump start me. These two cards were made by using a sponge dauber and Stampin' Up! decor elements stencils with Classic Inks. Totally fun!

The bottom card also uses the super fun Two-Step Bird punch in the Occasions Mini catalog. Stencils are quite inexpensive and very versatile. You can use them with paint on your walls, with fabric paint on pillows, bags, table runners, etc. You're only limited by your imagination.

  • Tape your stencil to your table or scratch paper after it's in position
  • Start with your lightest color of ink
  • if you want to omit part of an image, use a q-tip rather than a dauber for the areas near it. It's easier to control.
  • Get creative and have fun.

Thanks for visiting :-)
