Adapting Catalog Layout

This year at my monthly stamp clubs, we're going to be copying one of the layouts from the catalog each month. For this quick and easy card, we used one of the samples on p. 37. We just changed the stamp set, papers and colors, and ta-da...a brand new card.
The colors don't look exactly right, but the base is Orchid Opulence, along with Old Olive and Razzleberry. The designer paper is from the Cottage Wall packet (LOVE LOVE LOVE that paper). The stamp set is Flight of the Butterfly and the butterfly is actually punched out of dsp. This is a very quick card and would be easy to mass produce. I may use this layout with other designer paper and stamp sets just for kicks. If you get inspired to do so, post a comment with a link to your card, or email me your card and I'll post it on my blog.

Gotta go now. Have a fabu day!

Twick or Tweet swap

Yahoo, I'm posting two days in a row. This was my card for a Holiday Mini swap with some other demonstrators.

This uses the new Twick or Tweet stamp set in the Holiday Mini catalog. I HAD to get this set because these ghosts look a lot like the Phantom which is the mascot of my kids' summer swim team. Plus, the rest of the stamps in the set are pretty cute too. After making 50 of these, my fingers were pretty inky. Who needs nail polish when you have Brocade Blue and Night of Navy!

Cheers,
Sharon

Finally, a new scanner!

I finally have a scanner that communicates with my newish laptop. My other scanner is too old to work with the laptop that I've been using for several months. Theoretically, that means it'll be easier for me to post now.
This is the swap that I promised you a MONTH AGO! Apparently I stink at keeping promises. This uses the new Pendant Park stamp set and Melon Mambo ink. The great thing about this card is that you could use just about any color along with the black and it would look good.
So, after completing this 100 card swap, I signed up for a 50 card swap using a set from the Holiday Mini catalog. I'll post that tomorrow. The good news is that I don't want to do any more swaps for a while, so I should be posting more here.
Cheers,
Sharon
