August's featured stamp set is Happiness, which is found on page 118 of the Fall/Winter Stampin' Up Idea Book & Catalog. It's an awesome background stamp that can be used in its entirety, or you can just use sections of it. Below are the August projects.
These adorable cards were made by stamping the background stamp once and then cutting up the images so they could be used on different cards. I decided that the bottom card needed something else, so I used a second stamping to get the stripes and three flowers that I punched out.
The Double Sided Designer paper that I used is called Cutie Pie. It's way fun! The cardstock colors that coordinate with it are Rose Red, Bashful Blue, Certainly Celery and So Saffron. I used Rose Red ink, but the delicious, new Purely Pomegranate would work equally well.
The other cool think about this stamp is that you could use portions of it on masculine cards if you use a different color. Gotta love versatility!

I had a little bit of time to play a few days ago and came up with this. The new Pretties kit in the Stampin' Up! catalog adds so much to a card or scrapbook page. The flower on the bottom left was white. I used my blender pen and picked up a little bit of Purely Pomegranate from the lid of the ink pad and colored it onto the flower. The centers of each of the flowers is a half pearl from the Pretties kit too. Glue dots worked great to get them to stick onto the flowers. I actually took the time to cut out the big dahlia and the smaller guava flower. As many of you know, I don't like to cut things out, so probably won't be making a lot of these.
Stamps: Fabulous Flowers, Hugs & Wishes
Ink: Purely Pomegranate, Groovy Guava, Basic Black
Cardstock: Purely Pomegranate, Soft Sky, Blue Bayou, Whisper White
Accessories: Pretties kit

Oh my goodness, the new Fall/Winter 2007 SU Idea Book & Catalog is here. You'll love it! One of the hottest stamp sets in it is called Pick a Petal. Each petal is stamped individually so you can control the color or vary the petal stamps. It's super fun! It's easy to use, if you know the trick. When you're stamping the petals, think of a clock and stamp your flower center first. Then stamp a petal at 12:00, 6:00, 3:00, 9:00 and then fill in the other 4 spots. It works like a charm.
The supplies used for this card are all from Stampin' Up!
Stamps: Pick a Petal, Hugs & Wishes
Ink: Purely Pomegranate (yummy new color!), Tempting Turquoise, Basic Black
Paper: Whisper White, Tempting Turquoise, Purely Pomegranate
Accessories: Ice Circle Rhinestone Brads, Corner Rounder
My first order from the new catalog should arrive tomorrow. Once I get a few minutes to stamp, I'll post some more samples. In the meantime, there are samples on my SU website at sharongraham.stampinup.net.
